Top designer to headline Sharjah Wedding Show

Sharjah, 24 February 2015 -  This season, marriages are going to be made in Sharjah. And, helping would-be couples to organise a fun, fabulous and memorable wedding is the Perfect Wedding Show, which will be held at Expo Centre Sharjah from March 4 to 7, 2015.

Celebrating its 10th edition, The Perfect Wedding Show will also play host to internationally acclaimed Lebanese fashion designer Rani Zakhem and several other regional and international designers and boutiques.

Rani Zakhem will attend the Exclusive Fashion Show, where visitors will be treated to some of the best creations in bridal wear, haute couture, abayas and jalabiyas.

“We have partnered with several leading fashion designers, boutiques and brand stores to bring together the finest bridal & grooms wear and leading wedding specialists, offering everything soon-to-be-married couples need for their special day,” said Mr. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah.

The Exclusive Fashion Show will bring the spotlight on bridal wear, given that several designers will be vying for visitors’ attention to their latest creations.

Rani Zakhem, whose designs were recently seen on Hilary Duff at the 2015 Instyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globe Awards post party and Allison Janney at the People's Choice Awards 2015, will showcase some of his ready-to-wear, couture and bridal gowns.

His bridal collections are known for their unique feather details, exquisite crystal beading, glamorous silhouettes, stunning flower appliqué and luxurious fabrics, evoking a sense of glamour and understated elegance.

The fashion show is set to generate great interest among women given that average spend on bridal dresses are on the higher side in the UAE and the region, with brides looking for best quality fabrics and heavy embellishments for their wedding dresses and gowns.

“Rani Zakhem and other leading regional and international designers are sure to bring the best attires for fashion-forward brides. Besides, we have a memorable gift for a lucky bride -- a royal wedding dress worth Dhs. 60,000 by Emirati fashion designer Aisha Al Muhairi,” said Mr. Midfa.

The Lounge is another first for The Perfect Wedding Show, where visitors can spend the entire evening with their friends and family members. At the Lounge, visitors can treat themselves to delectable refreshments, while discussing the latest fashion and wedding trends that are unfolding at the exhibitions stalls. Manicure and pedicure services will also be available on demand.

For its 10th edition, The Perfect Wedding Show will feature more than 140 exhibitors spread over 8,000 sq m of exhibition space. The displays include a wide range of perfumes, ouds, cosmetics, jewellery, gifts and accessories, health and beauty products, cards and stationery, and related materials and services, apart from designers, couturiers, décor specialists, wedding planners and caterers.

The show will be open from 3 pm to 10.30 pm on all days and on the opening day there will be an exclusive ‘ladies only’ session for ladies from 3 pm to 7 pm.
