19 February 2015, Dubai, UAE: Emirates British Nursery, owned by Gulf Marketing Group, has raised AED 8,497 in funds, to support its ongoing work with the Dubai Center for Special Needs. The money, raised by the nursery children and their families was donated to the centre in a formal presentation this week.
The presentation saw more than 7 Emirates British Nursery children and their teacher present a cheque to the centre. The donation makes up a total of AED 34,900 that Emirates British Nursery has raised, since it started fund raising in June 2008.
The AED 8,497 donation was raised during the 2013-2014 academic nursery year, where the children, parents and staff came together to secure donations through a number of extra-curricular activities including bake sales, family fun days and winter fairs.
Amira A. Baker, managing director of Emirates British Nursery, commented: “We are delighted to continue making donations to Dubai Centre for Special Needs, whom we have worked with closely for seven years.
“Emirates British Nursery is already beginning to organise fund raising plans for 2015,” she said. “We are committed to supporting the great work the centre does and will continue to work with them and raise funds in the future.”
