Al Forsan International Sports Resort announces partnership with Abu Dhabi Sports Council

Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates: Al Forsan International Sports Resort in a press conference on Wednesday, February 4th announces its line-up of events this year sponsored by Abu Dhabi Sports Council, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ruler of Abu Dhabi. The series of events this 2015 will be dubbed as the “Abu Dhabi Sports Council Sports Challenges” and will be working in alignment with Al Forsan’s goals to encourage locals, residents and tourists alike to embrace a healthy lifestyle and “Get Active.”

Along with us opening the gates of Al Forsan and waiving the regular entrance and parking fees, we are confident that together, these activities will reach more people and motivate them to practice sports, as a beginner or an expert, and eventually always choose to lead a healthy life,” says Mr. Rashed Al Qubaisi, General Manager of Al Forsan International Sports Resort. Mr. Fadhl Al Mansoori, Community Sports Affairs Director of Abu Dhabi Sports Council was also present during the press conference to express his solidarity and passion for the program.
MOTOR SPORTS AREA
Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Al Forsan Grand Prix Round 1, 2 and 3
Gear up for the Abu Dhabi Sports Council Grand Prix on 27th February for the first round, 13th March for the second round and 3rd April for the third round. Entry to join the competition is AED 400 per driver who should be minimum 16 years old (competition rules and regulations apply). Registration per round closes 7:00pm one day before the competition dates respectively. The four-lapse Practice and Qualifying will start at 8:00pm followed by a seven-lapse pre-final. The starting grid will be based on qualifying results for the racing groups. Finally, the 12-lapse grand prix will decide the winners. The overall winning price for each race is around AED 16,000.
SHOOTING AREA
Abu Dhabi Sports Council Bull’s Eye Shooting Competition
In association with Abu Dhabi Sports Council, this event aims to bring together new and advanced shooters in a venue where they can not only compete but also challenge themselves to improve and be the best in shooting. The competition will be held daily from 1st March to 30th April. It will be open to Juniors Division (15 to 20 years old) for an entry fee of AED 175 and reshoot at AED 50; and Seniors Division (21 years up) for an entry fee of AED 200 and reshoot at AED 100. Guests can choose which pistol they’d like to use from the Al Forsan range. Men will shoot at 20m and ladies at 15m. Bull’s Eye points will be counted with 1 point each hit and recorded daily. The top ten scorers per division will be gathered for a complimentary shootout. And the top three scorers will take home trophies and cash prizes. First prize is AED 8,000, second AED 4,000 and third AED 2,000 for the Seniors Division. The juniors get AED 4,000 for the first prize, AED 2,000 for second and AED 1,000 for third.
