February 8, 2015: dmg events, the international exhibition company, has announced its recent strategic partnership with Gulf Publishing Company, an international publishing and events business dedicated to the energy sector. Both companies have joined forces to organize the US-based publisher Hydrocarbon Processing’s 6th Annual International Refining and Petrochemical Conference (IRPC). To be held at the Jumeirah Etihad Towers, Abu Dhabi from June 1 to 3, 2015, the event will host a Business Conference on day 1 and a Technical Conference on days 2 and 3. Additionally, it will provide a platform for the participants to showcase their technical expertise and services as well as the latest technological innovations.
The Business Conference will be a platform for attendees to gain access to unique international downstream market views to understand how businesses are adjusting to the challenges and opportunities to today. In addition, it will allow national oil companies (NOCs), integrated oil companies (IOCs), engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors, and technology solution and service providers to discover opportunities for growth and expansion. The Technical Conference, on the other hand, will focus on specific topics such as refining and petrochemical integration, heavy oil, gas processing, catalyst developments, feedstocks, emerging technologies, maintenance and reliability, plant design, and human capital, to name a few.
In organising the event, dmg events and Gulf Publishing Company are working closely with an Advisory Board composed of respected leaders from all facets of the refining and petrochemical industries. The IRPC Advisory Board Chair is Giacomo Rispoli, Senior Vice President of the Research and Development division of Italian multinational oil and gas company Eni S.p.A. The Board Members include Andrea Amoroso, Vice President, Eni’s Process Technology; John Baric, Licensing Technology Manager, Shell Global Solutions; Dr. Mikel Berthod, General Manager of Takreer Research Center; and Rajkumar Ghosh, Executive Director, Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
The 2015 edition will provide for the first time a high-level one-day business agenda and a two-day technical forum to allow knowledge sharing and exchange of best practices among attendees from all over the world. Participants will also have the opportunity to take a closer look at the latest advancements in the refining and petrochemical industries as well network with industry peers at the regional and global levels. Last year’s participants included hydrocarbon processing industry (HPI) professionals from 43 countries in five continents. About 97 per cent of the past visitors were able to make valuable networking connections during the event.
Simon Mellor, President, dmg events-Middle East and Asia, said: “IRPC, an international technical event, strives to address the needs of the downstream industry by providing a platform for all decision and policy makers, leaders and stakeholders to discuss emerging opportunities and other fundamental topics. Some of the areas of interest for this year’s event include alternative feedstock fuels, refining and petrochemical integration, gas treatment technologies, and water treatment, processing and cooling. Supported by the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), the event’s latest edition will provide numerous key benefits to the attendees, including high-level industry professional engagement, increased brand and product awareness, new sales leads, and the formation of new customers and partners. We look forward to a successful and fruitful event this year.”
