24 January 2015 - In response to the national Call of UAE Compassion, Ajman University joins the noble campaign launched by  His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of United Arab Emirates and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It presented AED 100,000 to UAE Red Crescent.

This campaign was launched by the wise leadership of UAE to elevate the immense pressure people in the Levant region are facing because of the extreme weathers. This campaign will expedite the relief efforts to aid refugees.

Mr. Osama Salman, Vice-President, Ajman University stressed that as an educational institution its our pride to join the national campaign and lend a helping hand to this humanitarian cause. The Leadership of our beloved country has always been at the forefront of humanitarian aid anywhere around the world, this is the direction we should follow and set as an example for our students, the future generations of this nation.

Mr. Salman presented the cheque to Mr. Sultan Khalaf Al Suwaidi, Acting director of Red Crescent, Ajman and Mr. Mohammed Eissa from UAE Red Crescent, also present were Mr. Abdulla Salman, Director Thamer Fund at Ajman University and Dr. Abdul Haq Al Nuaimi, Director, Community Services Department.
