Outstanding women to be honoured at the 5th GR8! Women Awards 2015 Middle East Dubai

Alia Bhatt, Nirmat Kaur, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Shilpa Shetty and Parineeti Chopra among other popular Bollywood stars to grace the star-studded red carpet event in Dubai

The outstanding contributions made by women in various fields including art, cinema, environment, entrepreneurship, and education, are set to be recognised at the 5th GR8! Women Awards 2015 Middle East Dubai.  The star-studded award ceremony will take place on 12 January at Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa, and is organized by Indian Television Academy, as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). 

A coveted gala gathering honouring successful women, the 5th GR8! Women Awards is a much-awaited red carpet event, brought to life by well-known Indian cinema icons as well as UAE’s high flyers. Bollywood fans can look forward to a night of spectacular music and dance performances by crowd-favourite celebrities from Bollywood including Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Nimrat Kaur, Shilpa Shetty, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rashmi Verma among others. 

Ali Bhatt, the 21-year-old daughter of the famous film director and producer Mahesh Bhatt, and the leading actress of popular Hindi movies Highway and 2 States, to name a few, will be gracing the red carpet, along with Parineeti Chopra, cousin of Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra and a highly talented actress known for her highly praised leading role in the movie Ishaqzaade. 

Also in attendance will be Nimrat Kaur - appreciated by critics and audiences around the world for her role in the much lauded movie The Lunchbox and Shilpa Shetty – a veteran Bollywood actress with over 40 movies in her kitty. 

Also adding to the glitz and glamour of the event will be Neil Nitin Mukesh, Richa Chadda and Surveen Chawla – three eminent Bollywood celebrities who will be taking to the stage to enthrall audiences with their performances. 

Having celebrated 14 successful years in India, the prestigious event seeks to encourage more and more women to vigorously pursue and achieve their goals in diverse fields.  The GR8! Women Awards are regarded the most coveted stamp of merit of its kind.

The milestone DSF 2015 is being held under the theme “20th Anniversary – A Journey of Celebrations”, and will run until 1 February offering more than 150 citywide events, mega attractions and numerous shopping opportunities and winning options for residents and visitors.
