Emirates Post Group honours outstanding leaders at Leadership Awards 2014 ceremony

Dubai, January 7, 2015: Emirates Post Group (EPG) honoured some of its distinguished leaders at the EPG Leadership Awards 2014 ceremony presided over by Mr. Fahad Al Hosani, Acting Chief Executive Officer of EPG.
In his welcome address, Mr. Al Hosani lauded the initiative held for the first time by the Group, inspired by the standards of leadership laid down in the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program, and said good leadership provides the key to the development and success of every organization. He added that effective leaders put a distinctive stamp on an organisation’s growth track.
He thanked Dubai Police headquarters in particular for its consistent support to EPG, including in the evaluation of the nominees for the leadership awards.
Dr. Alaa Garad, Professor in Organizational Learning at the Middlesex University Dubai and CEO Investors in People, UAE, delivered a lecture on the impact of leadership in organizational excellence.
Col. Eid Mohammed Thani Hareb, Director of Anti-Narcotics Department at Dubai Police, delivered a lecture on standards of leadership and key attributes of an outstanding leader.
Mr. Fahad Al Hosani and Ms. Fawzia Al Watani, Acting Executive Director of Strategy Department, announced the names of the winners, out of the total 22 leaders nominated from various sectors, departments and zones.
The winners were Mr. Abdullah Al Ashram, CEO of Emirates Post, in the Best CEO category; Mr. Mohammed Kamal, CEO of Commercial Development in the Best Director category; Mr. Yousuf Al Khaja, Senior Manager of Customer Support, and Mr. Sultan Abdullah Al-Hajji, Senior Manager IT infrastructure in the Best Departmental Manager category; Ms. Thamnah Nekhaira Al Sharifi, Director of 1st Postal Zone and Mr. Abdullah Salem Bosomnoh, Director of 3rd Postal Zone, in the Best Postal Zone Manager category.
The ceremony concluded with presentation of souvenirs to the evaluators and guests speakers.
