World's best clubs and players recognised at ‘Globe Soccer Awards – presented by Audi'

Dubai, 14th December 2014 – Globe Soccer Awards’ fifth annual ‘Dubai Football Gala – presented by Audi’ is set to welcome stars of the beautiful game and witness a battle for Club of the Year from Real Madrid, Juventus, Ajax AFC, FC Bayern Munich and FC Basel in a glittering gala dinner and awards ceremony.

Organised by Dubai Sports Council and BC Bendoni Communication, and supported by Al Nabooda Automobiles, the official dealer of Audi in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, the star-studded awards ceremony takes place at Atlantis, The Palm Jumeirah on 29 December as part of the prestigious Globe Soccer annual meeting dedicated to leading football operators.

Under the watchful eye and close assessment from a jury made up of representatives from the European Football Agents Association (EFAA) and European Club Association (ECA), as well as other personalities from the world of football, 15 coveted awards will be handed out at the ‘Dubai Football Gala – presented by Audi’ to players, clubs, agents, coaches and media, including the popular Marca Fan’s Favourite Player.

Consistently at the forefront of community sporting activities in its efforts to encourage local residents to lead an active and healthy lifestyle, Al Nabooda Automobiles has positioned Audi as an ever present force in the beautiful game and has supported the prestigious event since it inaugural outing in 2009.

This year, two new categories have been added to the gala awards – Referee of the Year and Player Revelation of the Year.  Voting is also now open for the Fan Favourite Player of the Year, with football fans encouraged to choose their number one player on the Globe Soccer mobile phone app.

Other awards will go to the Best Player of the Year, Player of his Career, Director of his Career, Best Coach, Best Agent of the Year, and Best Media Attraction in Football.

Lovers of the beautiful game will be able to enjoy the evening’s celebrations, and its stars, as the ‘Dubai Football Gala – presented by Audi’ will, for the first time, be broadcast live on Abu Dhabi TV.

Globe Soccer has partnered with the Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre as part of its ‘Globe Soccer Dream for Children’ charity project and is also supporting Make a Wish Foundation UAE.

Organised by Dubai Sports Council in collaboration with BC Bendoni Communication, the Globe Soccer Awards and the Dubai International Sports Conference is dedicated to the football operators who, together with the clubs, leagues, federations and football institutions, are able to extend their network of contacts and bring themselves up to date with the most important current issues.
