ADFD Hosts Results Based Management Training Program in Collaboration with German Agency for International Cooperation

Abu Dhabi-UAE: 18 November, 2014 - Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has concluded a training program in Results Based Management (RBM) in collaboration with German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The training program was delivered as part of ADFD’s priority to enhance cooperation with other development agencies through providing training programmes that help improve their operational efficiencies.
The three-day training program, which ran from November 16 - 18, focused on the challenges of project management. Providing an overview of Results Based Management, the sessions explored aspects such as RBM in planning, RBM in monitoring, challenges projects face in designing a result matrix, RBM in evaluation and RBM in reporting.
The session was attended by representatives from several international and local organizations.
Adel Abdulla Al Hosani, Director of Operations - ADFD, said: “Results Based Management is an increasingly important approach in project management that defines objectives and restructures resources as per the anticipated outcomes. Through offering such training sessions, we seek to strengthen our engagement with local, regional and international organizations in the field of development aid, while facilitating the exchange of expertise and ideas on improved performance at work."
Established in 1971, ADFD is a national organization responsible for assisting developing countries through administering loans and direct grant aid provided by the Abu Dhabi government. The Fund aims to promote sustainable socio-economic development and private sector growth in target countries. Since its inception, ADFD has overseen the provision of AED61 billion towards financing 416 development projects in 71 countries around the world.
