Dubai, 21 June, 2014: Which books have entertained, thrilled and inspired the people of the UAE? The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature has launched a new campaign to find out. The UAE's favourite books campaign will be conducted in three stages and divided into English and Arabic for adults and children. The final list of books will be announced at the 2015 Festival.

Festival Director Isobel Abulhoul said of the campaign, “Everyone has that one book that was life-changing and that they return to over and over again. The LitFest would like book-lovers from all over the country to nominate their favourite books in English and Arabic so we can compile a list of the books that have shaped our lives.”

The first stage of the campaign is live online - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/UAE-Favourite-Books - where everyone has the chance to nominate their favourite book. This will be used to compile the base list leading to the launch of the second phase in September where readers will have the chance to vote for their favourite books within the list. The voting process will continue till March 2015 when the final list will be announced at the Festival.

The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, which is part of the Emirates Literature Foundation, will take place in Dubai from 3 to 7 March 2015 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and in partnership with Emirates Airline and the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate's dedicated Authority for culture, arts, and heritage.
