Last Update: Sunday, June 15, 2014 : 15:28 (+4GMT)
In what was considered one of the most arduous burger-eating challenge, Elevation Burger - the renowned US-based casual fast food brand, organized its annual Vertigo Burger Challenge in Dubai.
The Vertigo Challenge launched on Elevation Burger's facebook page as a contest requesting fans to tag people who they thought could finish the 10 patty Vertigo Burger plus a basket of Elevation Burger's fresh cut fries cooked in 100% heart health olive oil the fastest, which got the contest reaching over 2,000 people. Mohammed Atef, took away the honors in the 1st challenge, finishing the burger in 5 minutes and 50 seconds flat.
The sheer number of contestants at the challenge reinforced the growing importance of Elevation Burger and its Vertigo Challenge, and it was a quick feast to see them competing to consume the massive burger.
The 10-patty burger comprised 100% USDA Certified Organic, 100% grass-fed, 100% free ranged beef with 6 months old aged sharp cheddar cheese and the fresh cut fries cooked in 100% heart healthy olive oil.
"It was nice to see an active participation from our consumers in the UAE for our Vertigo challenge, and congratulations for Mohammed Atef for a well-deserved win. We endorse healthy eating and this challenge was a step in emphasizing our point of view," said Khaled Al Dhubaib, CEO of Elevation Burger UAE.
Elevation Burger, which opened its doors in the UAE in January 2013, believes in the philosophy that fast food does not have to mean junk food. Elevation Burger offers parents to give kids delicious meals they love and can feel good about - it's the same quality of food that is prepared at home.
All of Elevation Burger's patties are hand-made and freshly grinded daily in the restaurants by people who care. The next challenge will take place on the 6th of July (Ramadan timings apply). Burger lovers, get ready!
