Dubai, April 30, 2014 - For the second year, the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort is hosting Mayfest between the 30th of April and the 3rd of May 2014.
This popular German tradition celebrates the arrival of spring. In medieval times people would gather spring flowers to decorate their homes. They chose a King and Queen of May and villagers danced around the Maipole.
At the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort Mayfest, guests will embark in a culinary and cultural journey with authentic German beverages and specialties prepared by Chef Stephan Kuehlwetter.
“Mayfest became a must for Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort. First year was very successful so we decided to continue the tradition, especially when we have Chef Stephan Kuehlwetter to make sure the Mayfest presents authentic German specialties and beverages. ” says Dany Dagher, General Manager, Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort.
Who visits Mayfest will also be entertained with the tunes from a renowned Traditional Band, “The Austria Boys”, while enjoying authentic Bavarian food & beverages around the Maytree.
Mayfest takes places daily at the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort Gardens between 7pm and 12am.
