Art Media provides a ‘mirror to the soul’ live at the Madinat

Art Media and Art Films, Dubai’s leading Russian publication, welcomes the eccentric and thought provoking ‘Mirror of the Soul’ performance at the Madinat theatre from
1st – 3rd May. Appearing for the first time in the Middle East, the Russian dance troupe will present a mime and dance sequence that will speak volumes to those soul-searching members of the audience.

This profoundly moving performance is at the Alterum Theatre and focuses on the Main Hero – Person’s in the Mask journey inside the soul. There he is confronted with his own demons and life choices, this explosive act is all conveyed without dialogue. With 7 performers, the tale will involve both Russian men and women all of whom are famous street dancers, winners of many International Championships all over the world. The costumes and decorations for the show have been handmade by the troupe members; together they have also performed in many International Theatre Festivals, and many Russian famous events and exhibitions and are appearing in Dubai for the first time ever.

Not only will they perform their extensively spiritual and intimate routine, but recently they have submitted a short clip of their performance to the Dubai film awards.

“It is a mystical and surreal journey through the nooks and crannies of your soul and subconscious. “Mirror of the Soul” provides spiritual meditation for the soul, a journey throughout life with the opportunity to explore your inner most feelings. This performance is an in-depth look into how we perceive life and ultimately how naive we can be” said the director of the Alterum Theatre Alexey Chernov.
