Mohammed Bin Rashid Library Concludes 'Let's Have Fun in Arabic' Programme to Promote Arabic Language Learning

Dubai, UAE, 23 July 2026: Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, in collaboration with Nahki Arabi Centre, has concluded the 'Let's Have Fun in Arabic' programme, held over 11 days as part of its summer programme for children aged 5 to 12. The initiative was designed to foster children's connection with the Arabic language, develop their linguistic skills through engaging educational experiences that combine learning with enjoyment, and provide an inspiring environment where they can discover the richness of Arabic while nurturing their creativity.

The programme welcomed around 130 children from diverse nationalities, including non-native Arabic speakers alongside Arabic-speaking children seeking to further develop their language skills and strengthen their confidence in communicating in Arabic. Designed to accommodate different proficiency levels, the programme offered an interactive learning experience that combined structured instruction with practical application.

The programme featured a diverse range of creative and practical activities, including interactive workshops, language games, movement-based activities, storytelling sessions and conversational exercises. Built around a learning-through-play approach, each workshop incorporated engaging activities designed to connect children with the Arabic language in an enjoyable and meaningful way. Vocabulary was introduced and reviewed at the beginning of every session, while each workshop concluded with themed arts and crafts activities linked to the concepts explored. This approach helped reinforce vocabulary retention, enhance listening and speaking skills, enrich children's linguistic repertoire, and encourage them to use Arabic naturally and confidently in their everyday interactions.

 

The programme received an enthusiastic response from both children and parents, who praised the experience for successfully combining education with enjoyment while strengthening children's confidence in using Arabic and enhancing their communication and self-expression skills in an engaging and creative environment.
