FitnessFirst ME launches Cricket Academy and Indoor Cricket League

UAE, April 2014: Re-iterating its commitment towards offering its clients much more than just gym facilities, Fitness First ME, the world's leading health and fitness club chain owned and operated under license by Landmark Leisure and Hospitality Services Ltd., announces the launch of its full-fledged Cricket Academy atSPORTZONE, their state-of-art sportingfacility located at Fitness First Community club, The Meadows.

SPORTZONE at Fitness First Meadows Community Club is a world class sporting venue that offers a variety of indoor sports, junior coaching academies, tournaments and other activities to Fitness First members and non-members, adults and juniors. SPORTZONE boasts of state of the art technology including LED lighting, automatic drop down basketballs systems and zone dividers spread over 15000 Sq. Ft. with sports like Futsal, Five-a-side Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Indoor Cricket and Badminton; the SPORTZONE is a superb combination of easy accessibility and laudable facility for sports enthusiasts in the UAE.

The all new Cricket Academy boasts of a full term cricket coaching program under the leadership of SPORTZONE cricket professional, Sam Jackson. Essentially tailored for age groups between 5yrs – 16yrs; the course will split students into classified age groups and will restrict it to 12 members each group to ensure quality coaching sessions. The course will allow children to gain knowledge and proficiency in several cricketing skills like: batting, bowling, wicket keeping, fielding, tactics and modified games. This full term program will run upto 10 weeks consists of hourly sessions designed to ensure quality progression and adequate practice sessions.

Celebrating the launch of its Cricket Academy, FitnessFirst also announced its SPORTZONE Indoor Cricket Tournament  starting on 25th April 2014 and running over 4 weeks Open for one and all participation, the  Tournament  will be contested  between  12 teams with 8members in each team and an additional 4 allowed,completing the squad. Teams willplay  in 3 pools of 4 teams assuring all teams a minimum of 3 matches with the top team in each pool plus the highest loser competing in the semi finals en route to becoming the overall  Tournament  champion.
