Move ushers in new era for The Links Group amid strong business growth
Dubai, UAE, 6th April 2014: The Links Group, foremost company formation specialist in the UAE and Qatar, has opened its new regional headquarters in the Conrad Dubai, becoming the first office tenant in the luxury mixed-use development.
The 5,761 square foot facility brings together The Links Group’s executive team and 36-strong workforce to oversee regional and international business development. The Links Group has also strengthened its footprint in Abu Dhabi and Doha, increasing headcount at its offices in Khalifa Business Park and Tornado Tower.
The expansion follows strong business performance for The Links Group with double digit growth recorded for the eleventh consecutive year in 2013. The year also saw The Links Group advance 43 places on the Dubai SME 100 list to be ranked the 13th best performing SME in the UAE.
The company says Dubai’s success in winning the Expo 2020 bid has contributed to a spike in its international enquiries. More foreign companies are now looking to establish a commercial presence in the region to take advantage of the anticipated economic windfall the expo will bring.
According to The Links Group, this is having a knock-on effect on company incorporation in Qatar as Dubai-based foreign owned companies look to establish a secondary office in the Gulf state.
The bulk of foreign interest continues to come from the UK, accounting for 40 percent of The Links Group’s commercial licensing business in 2013. However, interest from Australia is on the rise following The Links Group’s recent partnership with the Australia Arab Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Hospitality continues to be the most active sector for The Links Group with many household hotel brands looking to establish independent management companies in the UAE. Professional services companies are also eager to establish a presence in the region as demand for consultancy support services grows.
Restructuring of existing UAE businesses has been another growth area for The Links Group as disparate groups of local companies look to consolidate their positions in preparation for seeking external finance or divestment.
“We are expecting foreign interest in the UAE and Qatar will escalate in 2014 as international markets come under increasing pressure to drive growth through exports and foreign investments. It is important that The Links Group is best positioned to support this demand,” said John Martin St. Valery, founding partner, The Links Group.
”Our new regional headquarters ushers in a new era for The Links Group, one that reinforces our conviction in the growth potential of the economies of the Middle East, accessed through the UAE. Our investment in people has continued to be a strategic focus for the business, as has the introduction of new service lines. Our new facility in the Conrad Dubai will help us realise our growth ambitions,” he said.
