The handmade claypots that Fern W Fekhar serves its dishes in provide a uniquely authentic experience, that is inspired by and reflects the warmth and generosity of the Arabian culture. Each claypot is handmade by members of the India-based Crescent Educational Society (CRESDO), an organisation that helps in the educational development of children from vulnerable families and the socio-economic development of women from rural areas. CRESDO has been involved in developing young girls' education
in Andhra Pradesh while providing skill development training and supporting livelihoods of women (www.credso.org).
