Orphans’ lives will be transformed by sales of masterpieces in a win-win for art enthusiasts and philanthropists
UAE, Sharjah, 23 March 2014: Following the success of its first online auction, overwhelming demand from the public has inspired the Tawasul Online Charity Auction to make a massive comeback. According to Eman Al Mahmoud – Assistant Director, the auction’s Program Executive: “We have listened to the wishes of generous donors, artists and art enthusiasts, and we are bringing them together to uplift many more orphans’ lives. This auction is even bigger and more diverse, featuring awe-inspiring masterpieces in sculpture, painting, photography, visual arts, video design, digital design and much more.”
Countless orphans are set to benefit as the auction will raise substantial funds to put them on the road to lucrative careers through education. The auction’s predecessor raised university tuition for numerous academically gifted orphans, and new and returning donors will be keen to surpass the previous efforts.
The auction was masterminded by Tawasul Orphans Education Fund, under the generous patronage of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qassimi, Patron of Sharjah Business Women Council one of the Arab world’s leading humanitarians.
