Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi Celebrates Springfest

Restaurant hosts Special ‘Polkathon’ Dance Contest each night – Winners will compete to win a weekend stay including Friday Brunch

Abu Dhabi, March 09, 2014 – Brauhaus, the only authentic German restaurant in Abu Dhabi is set to officially welcome in the season of spring and is set to celebrate ten days of Frühlingsfest, Germany’s famous annual spring festival also known as, Springfest.

Spring, will be embraced at Brauhaus with the traditional German festival this April like no other. Springfest, the annual Spring German celebration is known as the Oktoberfest in April, offering nothing short of the latter, Brauhaus will feature live entertainment in the courtyard of Beach Rotana. The all-new band ‘SteirerSound’ are set to perform live for the first time in Abu Dhabi, the trio-band are excited and proud to celebrate the occasion at Beach Rotana.

Brauhaus restaurant manager Carl Peters, a German national is thrilled to host the annual German festival and shares ‘Springfest 2014 welcomes all, the ambience, food, culture, games and music are all great reasons to look forward to the Spring in Abu Dhabi, the 10-day celebration can’t be missed’ he concludes.

The courtyard of Brauhaus will be transformed into a Munich street festival for a ten day celebration filled with a hearty menu of German favourites including German delicatessen at its best including Currywurst, Nürnberger, Pretzels and Gingerbread hearts. Top-notch German frothy beverages will also accompany the authentic delicatessen and not forgetting, ‘live’ entertainment, exciting games and Polka, the traditional official fun dance.

To celebrate the occasion, guests visiting Brauhaus are encouraged to attend Springfest in traditional dress wearing their shiny dancing shoes to compete in a daily special polka dance contest. Each night, the band performing at Brauhaus will select a winner that will be requested to attend the finale at Springfest where eight other winners from previous nights will have the chance to demonstrate their skills in a ‘Polkathon’ to claim a weekend stay at Beach Rotana including Friday Brunch.

Simultaneously, all guests attending Springfest will also have the opportunity to win selected prizes by snapping and sharing their photos of themselves in the stand-in photo display available on the courtyard on Instagram (Beach_Rotana) with the hashtag #Springfest.
