Al Noor-Samsung Hope for Children Family Fun Fair 2014 a Resounding Success

Community raises AED 630,000 with all proceeds donated to Al Noor
Dubai, United Arab Emirates – March 10th, 2014 – The 2014 Al Noor-Samsung Hope for Children Family Fun Fair, which took place on Friday 28th February at Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs, has raised AED 630,000 to the benefit of the Al Noor Training Centre and the entire proceeds will be utilized to cover a part of the running cots of the center in order to continue to support its cause in serving children with special needs. Over 5,000 visitors attended the event, which included employees from Samsung and Al Noor, along with volunteers from the local community who enjoyed a fun-packed day of games, rides and activities.
Samsung also held a raffle draw to help raise funds for the center providing winners with 15 of Samsung’s cutting-edge products including a GALAXY Note 10.1, GALAXY Note 3, GALAXY S4, GALAXY Grand, SMART TVs and more. Samsung’s raffle draw successfully sold over 20,000 raffle tickets at 10 dirhams each.
Friday’s fun fair was inaugurated by Mr. Young Soo Kim, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics and Mr. Khalid Al Halyan, Chairman of the Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs along with Board Members of the Al Noor Training Centre.
“Through Samsung Hope for Children, we have the opportunity to continue our commitment to create new possibilities for children to pursue their interests and have a successful future,” said Mr. Young Soo Kim, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics. “The event has been yet another resounding success with the proceeds raised; making an important contribution to the Centre and helping the students reach their highest potential.”

By providing the latest training techniques, educational activities and technologies that stimulate the development of our students, we can help improve their lives and encourage their integration into society,” said Ms. Isphana Al-Khatib, Director of Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs.
“With the help of partners such as Samsung we can continue to offer the best facilities for our students and help them look forward to a better future,” added Al-Khatib.
