Hotel launches Instagram with competition and awards a Romantic Escape for two

Abu Dhabi, February 19, 2014 – Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi successfully launches Instagram profile (@Beach_Rotana), on the popular social media photo sharing application. To celebrate the additional social media channel, a special Valentine’s Day photo competition titled #CelebrateLove was organized to those looking to share what they love most. The competition, not limited to those in love with their partners, offered guests to share anything and everything they’re in love with.

The response, photos filled with laughter, happiness and romance were shared on the Beach Rotana Instagram page. The competition, became very competitive with more than seventy passionate entries all competing for their chance to win a romantic escape to Beach Rotana including a luxurious one night stay, a bouquet of flowers, a selection of chocolates, bottle of bubbly, romantic dinner, and a chauffeur driven limousine for two, all worth AED 2,350.

Tasked with awarding one single entry, the Rotana social media committee had a far difficult decision to make with a lot on the line. The competition criteria, set by the committee required the images to be creative and touching, with a strong relation to the topic of #CelebrateLove.

The winner among seventy entries was finally selected and contacted. The photo, shared by Jackson Dsouza (@shadowstud007) was unique and also accompanied a short heartfelt genuine story that read ‘I never experienced love as I lost my parents when I was 7, that was until 3 years ago when I met her. She makes me feel like the luckiest man on the planet'

The winner of the competition, Dsouza arrived at Beach Rotana on Valentine’s Day and shared his memorable experiences in a collage of photos, expressing his appreciation.

Moreover, Beach Rotana also sharing its love on Valentine’s Day rewarded all participants with special offers at Zen the spa and across its eleven award winning restaurants for the day to #CelebrateLove.
