Dubai, 19 January, 2014: Global Village, Dubai's leading entertainment and cultural destination, is making sure that families feel even more special one day a week this season with Mondays being exclusively open to families only.

Global Village's family centric atmosphere on Monday nights creates great and lasting memories for all with a truly relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for families to enjoy.

The new restaurant area includes regional and international dining options so there is a type of cuisine for a shared dining experience. The brand new Thai food court will also bring families together with the large dining area and numerous Thai specialty restaurants to choose from and can choose to dine indoor or outdoor for a truly great experience.

On a visit to Global Village, a trip into the Mellors Group's Fantasy Island to experience the highly enjoyable funfair rides will bring the family closer together. Traditional fairground rides such as the two-seater bumper cars and the ‘Runaway Train'; to the wet and wild ‘Jungle River' and ghost themed ‘Phantom Chaser', provides something for everybody. Families should try out the carnival games to win big stuffed toys in the relaxed atmosphere.

The Silly People will have the whole family laughing with their one of a kind street performance and sense of humour. The two award winning performers, Phil LeConte and Colin Franks, have travelled the globe performing comedy routines, juggling, yoyo skills, and a fantastic introduction to the Chinese yoyo – also known as a diabolo. The duo also performs a number of balloon art tricks that are particularly popular with children.

The Chinese Unicyclists, another award winning act to perform at Global Village, were one of the main entertainers at the Shanghai Expo 2010. The act revolves around six unicyclists balancing long enough to be able to throw a rice bowl from their foot to the head and catch it.

American street performer, Todd Various, will also be taking to the streets of Global Village and showing families a great time with magic, comedy, and amazing sleight of hand tricks that will have all the family smiling as this veteran of street performing puts on great shows.
