Annual Fire Drill Exercise at Rimal Rotana Dubai

Dubai, January 13, 2014 – Rimal Rotana Dubai arranged a fire drill with the Dubai Civil Defence. The drill was in line with the hotel' initiative in order to make sure high standards of safety awareness and highly trained personnel are maintained and be ready to deal promptly with fire emergency situations.

Rimal Rotana Dubai had set a plan that was set to action before holding the drill where special trainings were given to employees and the guests were informed of the exercise.

Commenting on this initiative, Wael Ibrahim, Director of Rooms Rimal Rotana Dubai remarked, “The fire drill aims to enhance emergency preparedness of the hotel. Through this exercise we can assess the coordination and response time of the various departments within the hotel and the fire department in case of emergency situations”.

In the presence of Dubai Civil Defence authorities and safety auditors, fire evacuation drill was activated where comprising employees and guests actively participated. Once the fire alarm and evacuation message were activated, the Civil Defence, management and rescue teams hurried to drench the fire in one of the rooms following the complete procedures as if it was a real fire where all the participants headed immediately to the designated assembly area.
