Life Through The Lens Of A Doctor

Dubai, 20th November 2013: Dr. Mukesh Batra, Padma Shri recipient (a high civilian award of India), and a very acclaimed international homeopath, Founder and Chairman of Dr. Batra's Positive Health Clinic, today showcased the pictures of his photo exhibition in Dubai with notable collection of photographs titled ‘Magic Moments'. This photo exhibition is a longstanding annual event in India that is held in the Indian cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad & Chennai. This exhibition debuts in Dubai at the Atrium Hall in DIFC. The special guest on this occasion was notable Indian actor, Tisca Chopra who unveiled the special picture of this photographic event along with Dr. Batra.

Citing his experience Dr. Mukesh Batra said, “Although my first passion is medicine, I feel complete with my second love, ‘photography'. Photography is an artistic expression that can capture beautiful moments when words are not sufficient to describe their true splendour. When I first took up photography, it was just as a simple release from a rigorous and often pain filled profession. But focusing on the miracles of nature rather than the frailties of the human body has helped me to become a more positive human being and a better doctor. My biggest inspiration is my cause; it allows me to give back to the society in my own little way through the proceeds of the sale of my pictures.

Enunciating his father's exhibition, Dr. Akshay Batra – Managing Director of Dr. Batra's Homeopathy said, “I am really proud of my father's journey as a doctor, as a father, an individual and an artist. I am happier that in spite of being a busy doctor, he decided to pursue his passion of photography to retain the enthusiasm and love for this journey called life. The exhibition featured two of the most popular Greek islands – Mykonos and Santorini renowned for their whitewashed buildings with blue doors, blue-domed churches, the charming windmills, and the azure waters giving the audience an opportunity to envisage picturesque Greece.

Works from Dr Batra's longstanding exhibitions over the last nine years in India have adorned the Raj Bhavan (the official residence of the Governor of Maharashtra) in Mumbai, the Citigold Lounges at the Citibank offices of Mumbai and Delhi, the corporate office of Bajaj- India's leading home grown auto company, the Tata archives as well as other prestigious offices and homes.   

The photographs from the collection ‘Magic Moments' will also be available for sale at Dr. Batra's clinic in Dubai. Proceeds of this sale will be donated to charitable causes in India.
