Abu Dhabi lifestyle show to feature entertaining and healthy activities for adults and children

The first edition of Abu Dhabi Alive offers a four day programme of live dance shows, fitness classes, and health consultations
Abu Dhabi, UAE, 19 November 2013: Abu Dhabi residents and visitors are set to experience an exciting four days when a new, first of its kind wellbeing event opens its doors soon in the UAE capital.
Taking place from 27-30 November at Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi Alive features an exhilarating and rich programme of free health consultations, instructive presentations, and live gym classes for people of all fitness abilities, children and adults, families and friends.
The event will kick off with a live drum “orchestra” show, presented on the main stage by Dubai Drums, followed by a “kids life coaching” session by Rasha Bey, an Awazen Healthy Eating Quiz, as well as the Over Boys All Stars Baby Gangstas Show – a spectacular break dance demonstration.
Principal Sponsor Activelife by Daman will offer Zumba, freestyle break dance in a dedicated fitness stage, while Adventure HQ's climbing wall – a simulated rock formation affixed with numerous hand and foot holds will provide mental and physical tests for visitors.
Gold's Gym and Get Moving will also offer ladies only High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), body attack, body combat, and Zumba classes during the four days of the show.
A wide range of healthy eating, fitness, leisure, nutritional and wellbeing companies will all be gathered on the same platform, to showcase their latest facilities and demonstrations in front of Abu Dhabi Alive visitors. There will also be a host of competitions on offer designed for everyone from toddlers to seniors.
“Abu Dhabi is a vibrant city, and we are confident that the show, in its first year, will have a great visitor response” said Hayete Jemai, Exhibition Director at Informa Exhibitions.
“Everyone wants to lead a healthy lifestyle, but the first step is always challenging; Abu Dhabi Alive is here to give the first push to those who want to follow and maintain a healthy, active life. We have prepared an exciting, dynamic, fun programme that covers activities suitable for all age groups, genders and fitness levels.”
Other activities Abu Dhabi Alive attendees can embrace include a “Prenatal Healthy Lifestyle” workshop, a “Go Organic” talk, cooking demonstrations and health check-ups, where nutrition experts will suggest and demonstrate nutritional recipe options for the family.
Health and nutrition experts will be available for one-to- one informal chats with visitors who prefer privacy, to address their particular needs and help them take the right step towards changing their lifestyle and possibly their lives forever.
The outdoor show will open from 11:00am to 8:00pm every day. Free entry is available to everyone, while a charge of only AED5 for one day is applied to those who wish to use the facilities such as the bowling centre, tennis courts, beach tennis and football field. A two, three and four day pass, inclusive of facility access, is only AED10, while those who register in advance on www.abudhabialive.ae will gain free entry including access to all facilities.
