Dubai World Hospitality Championship Extends Registration Deadlines for Emirati Competition

Amateur Category Aspirants Get Additional Week to Register
Dubai-UAE: 3 November, 2013 – Dubai World Hospitality Championship (DWHC) has announced the extension of the registration period for participants in the Emirati Competition. Registrations will now remain open until the 8th of November 2013 for aspiring Emirati chefs keen to participate in the first-of-its-kind culinary event.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Hareb Al Falahi, President of DWHC, said: “We are overwhelmed by the tremendous response from Emiratis who wish to participate in the Championship. We would like to encourage as many Emirati locals as possible to be a part of this historic event for the UAE hospitality sector and give them an opportunity to showcase the traditions and customs of our country on a global stage.”
The Emirati Competition comprises of the Amateur, the Professional, the Homemade Dishes, and the Homemade and Innovative Products categories. The first phase of the competition, the Homemade Dishes category has already concluded with a jury panel visiting the women's associations in different emirates to evaluate the entries.
Organised by Za'abeel Palace Hospitality under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the DWHC encompasses three core categories of competitions - the Emirati Competition, the International Competition and the Hospitality Sector Competition.
