Eric Clapton to perform first ever Dubai show

31st October 2013, Dubai, UAE: Done Events today announced that Eric Clapton, the international classic rock legend affectionately known as “Slowhand”, is to perform live in Dubai for the first time ever on Thursday 6th March 2014 at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.

This show will be the only Middle East performance on Eric Clapton's current tour-more event details to be announced shortly.

Adored by music fans across the world, and often referred to as one of the most important and influential guitarists of all time, Clapton is known for hits such as “Tears in Heaven”, “Layla”, recorded by Derek and the Dominos, and his version of Bob Marley's “I Shot the Sherriff” which was widely praised as helping reggae to reach mass market.  Clapton is the only three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: once as a solo artist, and separately as a member of both the Yardbirds and Cream, with a career spanning fifty years that has seen him perform to audiences across the world.

Thomas Ovesen, COO of Done Events, said; “This is the first time that 17 times Grammy Award wining artist Eric Clapton will play live in Dubai, and we look forward to a packed Media City Amphitheatre for what promises to be a night of world class rock and roll.”
Tickets will go on sale soon, however, fans can register for the official presale link at www.doneevents.com
