U2GULF, the U2 Tribute Band in Dubai and the Middle East, will celebrate the music of U2 @ The Music Room in Dubai

U2 fans in the UAE will be delighted to know that U2Gulf, the U2 Tribute Band in Dubai and the Middle East, will celebrate the music of U2 on December 6th, 2013, at the Majestic Hotel's Music Room in Dubai.

U2 is undoubtedly one of the biggest rock bands of all time.

Formed in 1976 in Dublin, Ireland, U2 has sold over 150 million records and has released 12 studio albums. Their latest tour—U2 360°Tour—brought the band to new heights as they performed on an enormous stage nicknamed “The Claw”, which was positioned in the center of stadiums across the globe. U2 360° was the highest grossing tour in history with ticket sales exceeding US $750 million.

Unfortunately, the four Irishmen have not played the Middle East.

To fill this gap, and driven by a relentless passion for U2's music, the tribute band U2GULF was formed in Dubai in 2013. U2GULF performs onstage throughout the Middle East as they portray Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen, Jr.

U2GULF is made up of four professional musicians from four different corners of Europe. Meet the band:

Vocals—Carlo (Italy)

Guitar—Marcel (the Netherlands)

Bass—Mad M. Charles (Sweden)

Drums—John (the United Kingdom)

The band members have created a show that replicates the highlights of over 30 years of U2 concerts with a set list that includes U2's biggesthits as well as some hidden gems that die-hard fans love the most.

U2GULF utilizes equipment similar to that of the original band to capture the unique sounds of The Edge's guitar, the unusual drumming of Larry Mullen, Jr.,and the powerful bass playing of Adam Clayton.

Their show is highly visual and entertaining, with video projections and replica stage costumes used by U2 during different tours.

U2 has been deemed the greatest band on earth. U2GULF's mission is to be the best U2 tribute band on the planet.
