After great success SICFF moves from Sharjah to Khor Fakkan and Al Dhaid for final leg

UAE, Sharjah, 28 October 2013 — This week saw the spread of joy and cinematic education across the city of Sharjah, in the first stage of a three city tour of the Sharjah International Children's Film Festival, which started on October 21 and will move to Khor Fakkan on October 29 for two days in the theatre of Khorfakkan Culture Center, followed by a two day showing in Al Dhaid in the theatre of Al Dhaid Sports and Cultural Club, from November 4.
SICFF Director Jawaher Abdulla Al Qasimi announced the switch: “while the primary location of the festival is set for the biggest city in the emirate, we want to spread the access that potential visitors have to the films, making for a much more diverse audience. With the move to Khor Fakkan making it easier for the people of Fujairah and Kalba to attend, and the days in Al Dhaid set for right after all the schools come back in from their day off, I think we're getting excellent reach.”
The first week of the SICFF 2013 has been a hugely popular event all over the city and emirate of Sharjah, and this feast of education, entertainment, and excitement is now moving to impress others across the emirate. Highlights like The 99 will be showing in Khor Fakkan, with Al Dhaid giving us Gattu, both fantastic, unmissable feature films. The shorter films are also quite enticing, with different time slots allowing for different screenings focusing on different age groups.
For those who have been to the shows in Sharjah, these are a good chance to watch the ones you missed but really wanted to see. Meanwhile, if you could not make it to the showings in Sharjah at all, you can get a good taste for what the SICFF 2013 was all about this year. A win-win for everyone involved, the festival organisers definitely stuck to their mission to share and nurture this great artistic medium with the people of Sharjah and the UAE.
