Only 1500 tickets remain for the fifth anniversary Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Abu Dhabi, UAE. Monday 21 October, 2013: With less than 10 days to go until the start of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, Yas Marina Circuit is today announcing that only 1500 tickets remain for the FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX. With a sell-out imminent, Yas Marina Circuit is anticipating a record crowd of 55,000 fans for the 2013 event thanks to the addition of 5,000 additional seats across new product categories such as Abu Dhabi Hill, Grand Prix Brunch and The Lounge. “We are well on our way to our fifth consecutive sell-out, which will be a tremendous achievement for both us and the wider Abu Dhabi community,” said Richard Cregan, Chief Executive Officer of Yas Marina Circuit.
“In addition to an action packed line-up of on-track racing, fans will also have access to an unprecedented level of entertainment both in the Oasis Areas at the Circuit and through the After-Race Concerts. If fans have yet to purchase, today is the day to do so.” With all other categories sold out, remaining tickets include seating in the Marina and South Grandstands. The tickets are still available from a variety of outlets including Yas Central at Yas Marina Circuit and through the Circuit's call centre (800 YAS) and website (www. yasmarinacircuit.com). With the possibility still open of the F1 championship being claimed in Abu Dhabi, fans gearing up for this year's race weekend can also expect an expanded programme of on track motorsport with the GP2, GP3 and Porsche Mobil Supercup confirmed as support races, all of which will be decided over the Abu Dhabi race weekend. Off-track, entertainment also promises to be more exciting than ever before with a greater number of family friendly attractions in the Oasis Areas at Yas Marina Circuit. Among the confirmed entertainment attractions is an F1® Village with bumper cars and a range of Formula One-themed entertainment, as well as a South Beach inspired Oasis with surfing and beach themed activities, performances and chill-out area. Art and culture will also be on display in the West and North Oasis areas with a range of musical acts and roaming performers, including capoeira artists, jugglers, acrobats, human statues and an acoustic band delighting crowds throughout the Circuit. Special surprises celebrating the fifth anniversary are also in store for fans each day. A total of four After-Race concerts exclusive to F1® ticket holders are also set to wow fans. Artists set to take the stage at the After-Race concerts are Arabic superstars Amr Diab, Elissa, and Hussain Al Jasmi on Thursday night, rap superstar JAY Z on Friday, MUSE on Saturday and Depeche Mode on Sunday.
