October 6th, 2013: Injazat Data Systems will once again encourage the public to adopt an active lifestyle to ensure their health and well-being during the 2013 edition of ‘Play for Life 2013,' an annual football tournament organized by the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre in Abu Dhabi.
This year's tournament will be held nightly from October 6 to 10, 2013, with 16 teams to vie for the winner's trophy at the National Stadium in Abu Dhabi's Zayed Sports City. Since its inception in 2008, the competition has gathered nearly 2,000 players and thousands more cheering at the sidelines.
Injazat has been participating regularly in Play for Life since its inception to encourage a healthy outlook among its employees and the community at large. The tournament is also a platform for Injazat to interact with other industry players and advocate unified efforts to combat the negative effects of sedentary lifestyles such as the prevalence of diabetes in the UAE.
“Play for Life is a fun way to address a very serious topic we all face: the debilitating impact of the lack of physical activity. Just a few minutes of exercise a day not only improves mental and physical health but can actually save a person's life in the long run. Injazat lends its full support to initiatives such as Play for Life that raise community awareness on the importance of embracing active and healthy lifestyles,” said Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, Chief Executive Officer, Injazat Data Systems.
Injazat Data Systems engages in various community-oriented events to advocate optimal living for residents of Abu Dhabi and the entire UAE. The company believes in the power of cooperative initiatives such as Play for Life to achieve health goals under the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 development agenda.
