Sea Shadow will be available from September 25th
Abu Dhabi, September 23, 2013: Sea Shadow, Image Nation's first Emirati feature film, is set to be released on DVD this week, it was announced today.
The film, to be sold in selected outlets from September 25th, is a coming of age story about two Emirati teenagers, as they struggle with traditions and conventions on their journey towards adulthood.
Michael Garin, CEO at Image Nation, commented on the film release: “Being our first Emirate feature film, Sea Shadow has always been one that is close to our hearts here at Image Nation.
“We're excited to release the DVD and make it accessible to even more film lovers outside the Emirati world. We think it is a tribute to the growing Emirati film industry and proves that UAE produced films are as entertaining and worthwhile as any international films people are accustomed to seeing.”
The DVD release follows the film's initial success in theatres in 2011. It was chosen to showcase in over 20 film festivals around the globe, including the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival and Munchen Film Festival, Germany, where it received high praise throughout.
The film stars award-winning actress Neven Madi and Emirati actor Omar Al Mulla, and was directed by the notable Emirati director Nawaf Al –Janahi.
The DVD will be available for purchase across the UAE at Virgin Megastores, Spinneys, Dubai Duty Free and all major petrol stations ( ADNOC, EPPCO, ENOC & EMARAT) from 40 AED (RRP).
