So many people across the UAE are getting low quality service and having to have a lot of there work re-done.
A few simple steps to ensure that you are getting the service you are paying for.
1. Get a copy of the companies Trade License... This will ensure that they are allowed to carry out legally the works that they are proclaiming to be able to do. A company pays a lot of money for this license and should gladly show you. Make sure your job is listed in the details of the license.
2. Go visit their premises, If a company says for example it has a joinery go visit, any reputable company would be proud to show off its assets.
3. A lot of companies will show pictures of works carried out that they have never done. Ask for stage photos, all companies take this type of picture to actually show the manufacturing process and as updates for the client so they have peace of mind.
4. Ask for the qualifications of the personnel actually carrying out the works for example a Designer Civil Engineer Architect should have a University Degree. These will be registered in the companies files, and once again the person should be more than willing to show off the hard work carried out to receive the degree.
Just these few steps above can save a lot of headaches and pain. In my company we are regularly asked to come look at other peoples works in there premises. Be aware it is not just at the lower price range that people have problems, companies with the ability to sweet talk clients are very dangerous but by following the steps above can reduce the chances of getting conned.
