As part of its Two Hearts, One Wish 2013 campaign, Bebelac Junior has granted wishes for eight children in the Middle East
Dubai, 21st July 2013, Bebelac Junior's Two Hearts, One Wish campaign has ended its second year by bringing a new set of smiles to children and their mothers. Families across the Middle East took part in the 2013 Two Hearts, One Wish campaign making eight wishes come true for children around the region.
The Two Hearts, One Wish campaign first launched in 2012 with entries from parents across the UAE and GCC, and was so popular that Bebelac Junior decided to continue granting children's wishes in 2013.
The 2013 campaign ran from the 1st of May to the 31st of June 2013 with a total of eight wishes fulfilled by Bebelac Junior. The Bebecare Middle East Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/bebecare.me?fref=ts) received 3,552 colourful entries alongside on-the-ground entries, and the Bebelac Junior mother's committee carefully read through the wishes and decided along with the Facebook community which lucky families would see their dreams come true.
The Eight Wishes Granted by Bebelac Junior
Bebecare Facebook mothers were surveyed in 2012 and 70% of them confirmed that the most important thing to them is having a healthy and happy baby, which is one of the values of the Two Hearts, One Wish campaign.
This year, Two Hearts, One Wish granted one year old Zuriel Charissa's wish of learning how to swim by enrolling her in swimming lessons that saw her swimming like a fish in no time!
Other fun wishes saw two year old Dylan Handayani granted a toy car to drive around in his local park as part of his mother's desire to help enjoy more time playing outside.
One year old Ahmed Mikhail was granted a trip to Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi! Ahmed, just like his father, has a love for cars and so the Two Hearts, One Wish campaign was able to get him and his father some bonding time in Yas Island.
Adorable one year old twins Aryan and Khushi Menon's wish of going to Disneyland also came true, as did one year old Izaan Inayatullah's wish of going to the zoo and meeting all the different types of animals.
Keeping in line with the times, Two Hearts, One Wish also granted two year old Ahmed Mnar and Salma Moustafa's wishes of having their own iPhones to play games on and three year old Hamza's wish of having an iPad to game on. Each child completely lit up when receiving their new gadgets.
Two Hearts, One Wish campaign spokesperson, and UNICEF-certified Breastfeeding Specialist and registered nurse Abeer Esawi commented: “Bebelac Junior understands the importance for mothers to see their children happy, not only mothers but fathers too! In fact, 40% of wishes this year were submitted by fathers. The Two Hearts, One Wish campaign was a perfect way for us to give back to parents by helping them grant their wishes for their children and we are proud to have been part of such a wonderful and happy campaign. ”
Abeer is one of the trained professionals staffing the Bebelac Junior dedicated care line, Bebecare, where parents can phone in 24/7 with their queries and receive expert advice from highly trained healthcare professionals who are also parents themselves. Abeer Esawi, along with her colleagues Marwa ElKordy and paediatrician Dr Maha Darwich, actively worked to promote the Two Hearts One Wish campaign with a series of radio and TV interviews, and by contributing magazine and newspaper features outlining sound advice for mothers on breastfeeding, weaning and ensuring their babies are happy and well.
The Bebecare care line will continue to be available to advise parents and reassure them, and help them enjoy being parents.
