Perrelet Supports Charity

For the auction held recently at the Salon Ledoyen in Paris by the Peace and Sport association, Perrelet had created a special watch, a one-of-a-kind version of the iconic Turbine watch. Keenly sensitive to the work of its ambassador Christian Karembeu on behalf of Peace and Sport, l'Organisation de la Paix par le Sport, Perrelet donated this unique model that was auctioned off and from which the entire proceeds will serve to fund grassroots projects undertaken by Peace and Sport.

The ceremony was graced with the presence of Joël Bouzou, President the founder of Peace and Sport, as well as Laura Flessel, Champion of Peace, while the brand was represented by the Director of Perrelet France, Joëlle Esculier.

Equipped with an automatic Double Rotor movement, the Turbine watch arrayed in the Peace and Sport colours is immediately recognisable thanks to its 12-blade rotor spinning freely above the dial that has been enjoying ever increasing success since its launch. Entirely black-clad in a highly contemporary spirit, the one-of-a-kind model bears the Peace and Sport logo on the sapphire crystal fitted into the case-back.

Christian Karembeu is an extremely generous individual who is involved in a number of charities. For Peace and Sport, l'Organisation de la Paix par le Sport, he is one of the Champions of Peace – a circle of 66 top-level international athletes either still competing or not – who give of their time to promote the practice of sport as a means of education and a factor of social stability around the world.

Peace and Sport was created in 2007 by Modern Pentathlon Olympic Medallist and World Champion Joël Bouzou. It works to help build Sustainable peace around the world. To do this, it promotes the practice of organised sport and of its values as a means of educating the younger generations and as a factor of social stability that brings communities together and fosters dialogue. Peace and Sport is an authentic worldwide initiative dedicated to serving the cause of peace and which intervenes in zones that have become vulnerable due to extreme poverty, the aftermath of conflicts or the absence of social cohesion.
