Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 21, 2025: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) recently organised a strategic forum with the participation of several Chief Executive Officers and Chief Information Officers from private healthcare facilities.
The forum focused on discussing the challenges, opportunities, visions, and achievements of the “NABIDH” system, as well as best practices in health data governance — all in line with Dubai’s digital transformation goals and its positioning as a global hub for innovation in healthcare.
NABIDH, short for Network & Analysis Backbone for Integrated Dubai Health, plays a pivotal role in DHA’s ongoing efforts to digitise healthcare. The platform integrates more than 1,500 healthcare providers and securely stores over 9.5 million electronic medical records, ensuring that each patient has a unified medical file accessible across healthcare facilities in Dubai.
Ms. Mona Bajman, CEO of the Shared Support Services Sector at the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), said: “The forum reflects the Authority’s commitment to building a fully integrated digital health ecosystem driven by knowledge and data. It also underscores the importance of strategic partnerships across the healthcare sector in achieving continued success in digital transformation, aligned with the emirate’s ambitions and its preparedness for the future.”
She noted the Dubai Health Authority’s strong commitment to investing in digital capacity-building, expanding institutional innovation, and leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to deliver more efficient, sustainable healthcare services that enhance patient experience and improve quality of life.
Dr. Mohammad Al Redha, Director of Health Informatics and Smart Health at the Dubai Health Authority, said: “The forum addressed several key topics related to shared challenges in the digital transformation journey, the future of cloud-based hospitals, applications of artificial intelligence, genomics in the healthcare experience, cybersecurity, and the importance of accelerating access to medical information within a smart, agile, and sustainable environment. These efforts align with the goals of the “Dubai Social Agenda 33,” which aims to deliver an advanced healthcare model that places the individual at the centre of care. The forum also highlighted successful and advanced case studies in data applications and digital innovation that have driven excellence in healthcare operational efficiency. These were presented by experts from strategic partners, including Oracle.”
Nick Redshaw, Senior Vice President – Technology, Middle East and Africa, and UAE Country Leader, Oracle UAE, said: “We are proud of our partnership with the Dubai Health Authority in supporting its ambitious efforts to accelerate digital transformation in the healthcare sector. Through equipping the NABIDH system with advanced cloud infrastructure and AI-powered technologies, we are helping drive meaningful progress. This forum serves as a strategic platform to exchange insights on the future of healthcare and explore scalable digital solutions that enhance both operational efficiency and the patient experience.”
He added: “We share a common vision with the Dubai Health Authority to harness technology in creating a smarter, more agile healthcare environment. We remain committed to delivering digital innovations that support this direction and further strengthen Dubai’s position as a global hub for smart health.”
