Dubai Health Authority Launches Digital Birth Certificate Service to Enhance Customer Convenience
Last Update: Wednesday, March 19, 2025 : 09:15 (+4GMT)
United Arab Emirates, Dubai, March 18, 2025: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has launched a fully digital birth certificate issuance service, streamlining procedures to provide a seamless and efficient experience for residents while reinforcing the authority’s commitment to smart transformation and government service facilitation.
The new service allows parents to obtain an official birth certificate in three languages—Arabic, English, and Urdu—without the need to visit a customer service centre. The process begins with hospitals in Dubai submitting the birth notification and required documents through an electronic system. Parents can then complete the application via DHA’s website, select the number of copies needed, and make payments electronically.
The initiative aligns with DHA’s strategy to enhance service accessibility, improve quality of life, and promote customer happiness by reducing administrative procedures and saving time and effort for residents.
Certificates are issued within one working day and can be delivered via email or mobile phone. Parents also have the option to request a printed copy through a courier service. For exceptional cases, in-person assistance remains available at DHA’s Customer Happiness Centre.
Dr Ramadan Al Blooshi, Advisor to the Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority and Acting Director of the Public Health Protection Department, stated that the new service reflects DHA’s commitment to enhancing customer experience by offering faster, more efficient, and flexible services. He emphasised the service’s role in reducing time and effort for residents while advancing digital transformation in government services, in line with Dubai’s vision for world-class service delivery.
He highlighted DHA’s continuous efforts to develop and improve its services by leveraging innovation and smart technologies to ensure a seamless experience that meets customer expectations.
Dr Al Blooshi added that the new service also facilitates requests for additional copies of birth certificates or replacements for lost ones. In such cases, applicants must provide a copy of the previous certificate, if available, or submit a police report in case of loss. Payment options include electronic transactions, credit cards, and bank transfers.
DHA encourages residents to take advantage of the digital service, which guarantees accuracy and efficiency while reinforcing Dubai’s vision of becoming the world’s smartest city for integrated healthcare services.
For further assistance, DHA has established a dedicated support service for birth certificate inquiries via the toll-free number 800 DHA, where customers can receive immediate guidance on application procedures, required documents, and delivery options.
The support service provides instant assistance on application procedures, required documents, and available delivery options.
This initiative underscores DHA’s commitment to simplifying customer experiences and ensuring swift, efficient solutions. It reflects the authority’s dedication to delivering smart, integrated government services that enhance convenience and overall well-being in the community.
