The Market Celebrates and honours Dubai’s fishing community for their continuous hard work and contribution to the UAE’s society
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 9 March 2023: Dubai’s premier fresh food market, the Waterfront Market will celebrate and honour the UAE’s fishing industry with its very own annual celebration, The Biggest Catch on Tuesday 14th March from 7 pm to 9 pm.
Marking its sixth-year anniversary, The Biggest Catch is an awe-inspiring festival created to unite the community and the well-respected fishermen to jointly celebrate and honour a deeply embedded tradition of the UAE’s culture. The fishing industry is the essence of what the Waterfront Market is today and the Market’s own Biggest Catch celebration aims to educate the new generations of what was once one of the country’s main industry and source of wealth.
Waterfront Market’s visitors will enjoy fun for all family with activities to mark the celebration from live Emirati folklore entertainment, a magician for the kids and a dedicated kids’ area with a large colouring wall to different carnival games with prizes for the little ones and a live DJ.
The Market’s visitors will also get to see the winning fisherman coming back with his catch. The winner will be honoured with a Waterfront Market trophy and commemorative plaques will be handed out to other participants.
Mohammed Al Madani, Waterfront Market Manager said: “We are immensely proud of the UAE’s hardworking fishing community and the Waterfront Market’s Biggest Catch is our way of honouring them for their continuous hard work and contribution to the UAE’s society”.
