Sharjah Performing Arts Academy once again Hosts Critically-acclaimed performance of ‘Nimrod' – a Play Written by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi

- Academy hosts Opening Ceremony for the Gulf Theatre Festival with the revival of their production ‘Nimrod’.
- Academy to host two free shows for the Public on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd of February at 8.30 PM, bookings through Eventbrite.
United Arab Emirates, Sharjah – 16 February 2023: Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA), a world-leading performing arts education and training institution, will be performing the iconic ‘Nimrod’ for a second year in a row, a play written by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.
In 2022, more than 600 VIPs and guests attended captivating performances of the play, directed by Professor Peter Barlow Executive Director, SPAA, who led a cast, creative andtechnical team comprising of the Academy’s talented student body and faculty, alongside a team of external creative collaborators from UAE and all over the world, to deliver acclaimed performances across two consecutive evenings.
Exploring the themes of power, purpose and language, the thought-provoking play provided audiences with an insight into the life of the historical figure Al-Nimrod (Nimrod) during immersive evenings of theatrical storytelling, music, dance, and drama.
Aspiring performers, dancers, actors, designers, technicians and stage managers seeking a launchpad to kickstart their professional careers can apply to SPAA’s Bachelor of Arts programmes in Acting, Production Arts, and Musical Theatre. Admissions for the Trinity Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance are also open.
