Dubai Government Workshop participates in Dubai Fitness Challenge 2022 to foster healthy living among its employees

Dubai, 28 October, 2022: Dubai Government Workshop (DGW) is participating in Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) 2022, as part of its commitment to motivate its employees to pursue a healthier and more active lifestyle. The sixth edition of the flagship fitness initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the Chairman of The Executive Council, will be held between October 29 and November 27, 2022. During this year’s Challenge, DGW will be participating in friendly basketball and football matches with Dubai Club for People of Determination, in addition to a series of other sports activities.
H.E. Fahad Ahmed Alraeesi, CEO of DGW, underscored the commitment of DGW in encouraging its employees to participate in such community events, especially in supportting people to adopt a healthy lifestyle and boost their fitness. Alraeesi further highlighted the significance of the challenge and the role of DGW in positioning Dubai as a healthy city, emphasizing the role of such activities in maintaining mental health and promoting healthy habits within the community.
With a variety of fitness challenges across the emirates, DFC proves to be a perfect platform for sports enthusiasts of any age group and physical abilities to attain a common goal of practising 30 minutes of daily physical activity over 30 consecutive days. The challenge will allow the participants to try different exercises and sports activities at any time and place within Dubai. The flexible schedule and nature of DFC is expected to encourage the community to participate in a vast number of physical activities that promote the concepts of physical fitness.
