The show’s 25th edition brought together industry players from 52 countries and featured 17 national pavilions, making it the first truly global beauty event of the year
Dubai, UAE - October 07, 2021: The world’s leading cosmetics and fragrance companies gathered in Dubai for the final day of Beautyworld Middle East 2021, the Arab world’s largest international beauty and wellness trade fair, taking place from 5th to 7th October 2021 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
As the region’s first in-person international beauty trade show in 2021, this year’s Beautyworld Middle East assumed even greater significance and shone the spotlight on exhibitors and industry game-changers from 52 countries, featuring 17 dedicated country pavilions hosting high-level governmental agencies and trade delegations, displaying the latest in the beauty industry.
“The success of the 25th edition of Beautyworld Middle East underlines the resilience of the industry despite a turbulent 2020 and we are proud to have been able to return this year with an in-person event to showcase some of the best local and international brands, products and innovations,” said Elaine O’Connell, Show Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East.
Rounding off an action-packed three days featuring a diverse line-up of events, Beautyworld Middle East 2021 focused on three key narratives – Rethink, Reinvent and Rediscover – which brought fresh thinking, new insights and elevated business strategies to the fore. The three-day schedule engaged visitors with a full itinerary of events, from olfactory experiences to a complete programme of live demonstrations, including barber showcases, product demonstrations and expert talks.
“The beauty industry was put on hold for a while following the pandemic, however, Beautyworld Middle East was a great way to kickstart a new chapter for the industry again. There have been many exciting opportunities at the show this year, especially for us as an upcoming brand and we are very excited to have been able to participate,” commented Haemin Kim, CEO and Founder of DillyDilly Cosmetics.
For the first time ever, the landmark 25th edition of the show saw participation of exhibitors from Azerbaijan, Ghana, Hungary, Philippines, Serbia, and Syria, reinforcing Beautyworld Middle East’s status as a strategic gateway for the global industry.
“We are very pleased with the exhibition turnout at Beautyworld Middle East 2021. This was our first time showcasing at such a large-scale event in the Middle East region, and the show provided the ideal platform to introduce our products to the market and connect with a new audience,” said Charles Kim, CEO/CTO of Zephoros.
The international exhibitor line-up at this year’s Beautyworld Middle East spread across seven distinct product segments: Cosmetics & Skincare; Hair, Nails & Salon Supplies; Machinery, Packaging & Raw Materials; Fragrance Compounds & Finished Fragrance; Personal Care & Hygiene; Natural & Organic; as well as a brand-new segment, Beauty Tech, which showcased all the latest industry innovations and beauty solutions.
Commenting on this year’s show, Giles Howe, Luxury Brand Ambassador of JIVAGO BRANDS said: “We are very pleased with the outcome of participating at Beautyworld Middle East for the first time. We debuted several new ranges and products this week and are overwhelmed by the phenomenal response we have received from visitors. We could not be happier to launch these new-to-market products at Beautyworld Middle East.”
The show also hosted the Beautyworld Middle East Awards, which received over 190 entries and celebrated both local and international beauty houses across 13 categories, including Best Marketing Campaign of the Year; Innovation of the Year; Natural Product of the Year; Niche Product of the Year; Breakout Star of the Year; and more.
