FreshToHome Joins hands with SmartLife to Host Eid Lunch at a Dubai Labour Camp

FreshToHome distributed 500 freshly cooked meals during the holiday in partnership with NGO SmartLife 

UAE - August 11, 2021:  FreshToHome (FTH), a leading e-grocery in the UAE, recently partnered with Dubai-based non-governmental organisation (NGO), SmartLife, on Eid Al Adha to offer a charitable contribution of meals to a segment of the labour community in Dubai.

500 labourers, residing in the Economic Group General Trading (EGGT) Labour Camp in Al Quoz, were served a traditional Eid dinner, prepared with fresh and certified antibiotic free chicken and meat from FreshToHome. 

Commenting on the initiative, Manjula Ramakrishnan, President of SmartLife, said, “We'd like to thank FreshToHome for supporting us by providing fresh and healthy meals to essential members of the workforce. At SmartLife, we are delighted to be playing a role in creating memorable experiences for the labour community, acknowledging their importance in our society and the support of organisations like FreshToHome makes our work possible.”

SmartLife, licensed by the Dubai Community Development Authority, works closely with various labour camps to help improve the quality of life of labourers. The NGO has several diverse projects such as SmartReading, SmartWoman, SmartWellness, among others, to help the different segments of the workers during their time in the UAE.
