United Arab Emirates, 2 May 2021- On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan 2021, and in line with its continuing commitment to social and humanitarian responsibilities, Dubai Government Workshop (DGW) launched several pioneering initiatives that highlight the spirit of Ramadan. The most prominent among them is ‘Khair’ - a volunteering program dedicated to encouraging employees to take part in humanitarian and charitable work.
DGW has also placed internal interactive posts, in addition to organizing awareness lectures in association with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department to raise public awareness about various health, religious and social issues, apart from discussing various other Ramadan-themed topics.
“The launch of Ramadan campaigns reflects DGW’s commitment to spread the spirit of positivity, happiness and camaraderie among employees. This move promotes the spirit of giving - one of our society’s deep-rooted values that continues to be fostered by the wise leadership’s policies and directives,” commented H.E. Fahad Ahmed Al-Raeesi, CEO of DGW.
He added: “We strive to fulfil our social and humanitarian responsibilities by implementing initiatives that are tailored to promote the values of tolerance and charity as well as by enhancing our employees’ contributions to the national efforts dedicated to assisting the needy during the holy month of Ramadan. We reaffirm our commitment to strengthen partnerships with both government and private entities to make an impact on volunteering culture and charitable activities.”
