Dubai Central Lab Is Now Esma Halal Certification Body

Dubai, 05 January 2021: The Product Conformity Assessment Section in Dubai Central Laboratory (DCL) was recently registered as one of the halal certification bodies at the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) to grant the National Quality Mark (EQM) for halal products on behalf of the authority, according to the technical requirements contained in Cabinet Resolution No. 10 of 2014.

Recognition of DCL as Halal certification body is part of Dubai Municipality's efforts to expand its areas of work in certification services and product conformity assessment in line with the directions of the top leadership in achieving Dubai Municipality’s vision of building a happy and sustainable city and enhancing Dubai's position as the capital of the Islamic economy.

Eng. Amin Ahmed Amin, Director of DCL said that this achievement will contribute to enhancing integration with federal authorities in providing excellent services, while maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction and happiness and protecting their rights, by ensuring that products conform to relevant specifications and legislations at the local and federal level.

All practices in DCL are according to the highest international standards, as it always aims to enhance confidence in the quality of products at the global level, and contribute to the embodiment of the corporate vision of Dubai Municipality in building a happy and sustainable city, leading to the vision of the Dubai government in facilitating transactions of individuals, factories and companies with government departments, and consolidating Dubai's position as a leading regional and global economic hub.
