Cloud-based customer services drive reliability and operational efficiency
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, August 19, 2020: Infonas, a leading global telecommunications service and cloud provider in the Middle East, has selected software and services from Ciena (NYSE: CIEN) to expand its network capabilities and meet increasing demand for high performance connectivity. To serve its growing customer base of government, private and public sector customers that require high bandwidth services with zero downtime, Infonas is leveraging Ciena’s Hosted Manage, Control and Plan (MCP) Service and Ciena Services expertise for increased service agility.
Hamad Al-Amer, Managing Director and Board Member at Infonas said, “Incorporating Ciena’s software and services into our network further positions Infonas at the forefront of innovative telecom services. With streamlined network operations, we can scale to offer our diverse customer base a robust user experience.”
In today’s fast-paced environment, Infonas needed an expedient way to automate its high-speed network. With Ciena’s Hosted MCP Service managing Ciena’s 6500 Packet-Optical platforms, Infonas has full control of its network without the unnecessary administrative and resourcing overhead of managing it, and benefits from the speed and accuracy of automated operations.
“Ciena’s open approach offers Infonas the highest level of choice to evolve its network strategies to prepare for unavoidable challenges and proactively address shifting market dynamics,” said Azz-Eddine Mansouri, General Manager, Middle East, Ciena. “By coupling software automation with technical expertise, Infonas is transforming its network to be more adaptive.”
