Ajman Free Zone boosts procurement support to its free zone-based investors

• Ajman Free Zone’s efforts accounted for 22 per cent of the total number of contracts made by free zone-based investors
• The support has helped increase the total procurement and contracts of AFZ-based SMEs to 12 per cent
• Seven per cent growth seen in procurement support during the first five months of the year as compared to 2019 during the same period

28 June 2020: As part of its commitment to promote economic growth and continued support to the busines community, Ajman Free Zone’s procurement support to free zone-based investors has increased by 7 per cent (year-on-year) in the first five months of 2020. According to official data, 22 per cent of the total purchases and contracts made by AFZ-based investors from January to May of this year has been concluded through the Ajman Free Zone’s support.

Furthermore, in line with its continued commitment to support the small and medium-sized enterprises sector as a driver for economic growth and one of the pillars of economic diversification in UAE, Ajman Free Zone’s contribution to the Free Zone-based SMEs total purchases and contracts reached 12 per cent in the first 5 months.
