Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, UAE, June 15, 2020: The phased re-opening of Yas Marina Circuit has begun with a number of activities, including Karting, OpenYAS track days, and some health and fitness activities available to take part in, all in line with Government directives.
With the safety of both staff and customers our main priority, a number of measures have been implemented in accordance with Government directives to ensure the health and well-being of everybody in attendance at the venue. These include a completely contactless journey with online-only bookings for all activities, temperature check and hand sanitizer stations, signage and floor markings to offer guidance on social distancing rules, disposable gloves and balaclavas, plus customer flow-paths to ensure guests do not cross paths during the activity journey.
From Monday June 15, Yas Kartzone will be open to adults (aged 13 and above), who must either bring their own equipment – helmets, race suits, balaclavas and gloves - or purchase them on site. The kart itself can be hired from the venue. Drivers will not be permitted to share helmets, suits, boots, gloves or karts.
With a 1km track which is filled with twists and turns, Yas Kartzone is the perfect spot to let loose and challenge yourself to be first to cross the finishing line. A great way to get back outside and have some fun this summer.
OpenYAS car track days are also now available, giving guests the opportunity to navigate the very same Circuit which has played host to some of the legends of motorsport, including the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel.
Both TrainYAS and TrainAM sessions are currently open to Abu Dhabi Cycling Club members only, and if you want to get involved, simply contact Abu Dhabi Cycling Club and they will guide you through the process. Click on the below link for contact details:
TrainYAS, which is cycling-only at present, is currently taking place on a Sunday and Tuesday, with TrainAM on a Sunday and Thursday.
Guests wishing to take part in the Circuit’s fantastic DriveYas experiences can look forward to getting behind the wheel of some iconic vehicles very soon, with the Formula Yas 3000, the closest thing to an F1 car most people will ever drive, Caterham Seven and Aston Martin all ready and waiting to be taken out for a few fast laps. For a truly luxury – and memorable - experience, it’s genuinely hard to beat. Stay tuned to social channels @YMCofficial
With the phased re-opening of the Circuit now underway, and many exciting and entertaining activities to take part in (with more to follow), it really is time to get back on track.
Every possible step has been taken to ensure guests are able to enjoy a safe visit to the Circuit, and with Karting and OpenYAS track days now available once again, head down to Yas Marina Circuit to get the adrenaline pumping and some outdoor fun.
