Ministry of Economy launches an interactive knowledge platform to help the business environment address the effects of Covid 19

Abu Dhabi, 16 May 2020: The Ministry of Economy (MOE) has launched a dedicated platform to help the business environment address the effects of the COVID-19 virus, which is an interactive online knowledge platform to support business continuity and stimulate sound business practices to reduce the impact of the Corona virus crisis on the commercial and investment climate in the country, protect consumers and companies, and direct communication between The MOE and Business Sector to provide the appropriate knowledge environment to deal with the consequences of the pandemic.
The platform, which was launched by the Foreign Trade Department in the Ministry of Economy, aims to provide a set of axes that contribute to helping the business environment to address the effects of the Corona virus, by introducing the latest developments on the epidemic in the country by linking to the information center for the UAE, and providing a set of proposals and guidelines are in accordance with best practices in the field of conducting business in light of this pandemic in terms of precautionary measures and steps that companies and employers are required to continue to conduct their business, whether at the company's headquarters or through remote work.
The platform also provides information on requirements and procedures for dealing with customers and suppliers and offers suggestions for how to contribute to increasing sales during this pandemic, and provide an overview of the most affected sectors and promising sectors. In addition, the platform reviews the incentive packages launched by the UAE for the business sector to address the effects of this pandemic, whether at the federal or local level, as well as a set of motivational messages addressed to the business community about the position of the country's economy, in addition to the most prominent features of the investment environment and the legislative aspect of the business environment in the UAE.
The platform also provides a window for direct communication, as this window provides the field for the business community to submit general inquiries through direct communication with the Investment Department of the Ministry of Economy, in addition to a special section for frequent and common questions related to foreign direct investment, and reviews a set of reports and summaries about the impact of the Corona virus on flows direct foreign investment.
The platform is characterized by ease of browsing and it is available to all as it comes within the efforts of the UAE government to enhance digital services to implement measures that contribute to mitigating the impact on the economic climate in the country.
