Magical festive fun until January 7th and 7 New Year Celebrations at one family destination

Promising a festive bundle full of fun and surprises, Global Village is the perfect family-centric destination to enjoy the festive season celebrations.

For the first time ever at Global Village, guests of all ages will be able to celebrate the season by capturing selfies with a huge 21-metre high tree richly decorated with gifts received from around the world. Around the tree, guests will find beautifully themed stalls bursting with festive treats. Families can sip delicious hot chocolate or cinnamon coffee whilst perusing the handcrafted gifts, as falling snow completes the picture.  

From December 25th, kids will be delighted when Global Village’s own “Snow Princess” and her elfin helpers will lead the “Surprise Cracker” gift ceremony for 12 days until January 6th 2020. Each day at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm, 80 lucky children will be selected to take part in the ceremony. When the kids pull their crackers they will find a golden ticket, but only one cracker per ceremony has the Global Village winning ticket – the 2 lucky children with this cracker will be given a surprise Global Village gift from the tree. 

New Year’s Eve at Global Village is always memorable and this year Global Village guests will be celebrating 7 times over and having 7 times the fun. At midnight in 7 different time zones, guests will be treated to magnificent entertainment and an impressive fireworks display every hour from 8pm. At 8pm Global Village will ring in the New Year in the Philippines; party with Thailand at 9pm; at 10pm it’s the turn of Kyrgyztan; India at 10.30pm; Pakistan at 11pm and of course, at 12am, the skies will light up to celebrate 2020 in the UAE. But the fun doesn’t stop there because at 1am there will be a final show for Turkey. 
As if that wasn’t enough, Global Village will be giving 7 holiday packages to 7 unsuspecting families who will be chosen by Global Village New Year squad direct on “GV live cam”. Global Village will be flying each family off to one of the amazing countries that are being celebrated.
