Trading Enterprises announces the arrival of the new S60 premium sports sedan in the UAE

Scandinavian design and Swedish craftsmanship come together in the new S60

Dubai, UAE, November 27, 2019:   Trading Enterprises – Volvo has announced the arrival of the new S60 mid-size premium sports sedan in the UAE. The Volvo S60 is the first Volvo car made in the US and produced at Volvo Cars' new manufacturing plant in Charleston, South Carolina. 

Built on Volvo's Scalable Product Architecture platform, it features all the now-classic Volvo styling cues, including the T-shaped 'Thor's Hammer' LED headlight design, distinctive waterfall grille with Volvo Iron Mark and the expressive use of the Volvo wordmark on the rear.

Commenting on the launch, Oscar Rivoli, Managing Director of Trading Enterprises, said, “The new S60 is one of the most exciting Volvo cars around. The S60 will be available in two 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol options - T5 and T4 - both of which are paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, providing an outstanding combination of performance and fuel efficiency. The T5 engine delivers 250bhp and 350Nm of torque, while the T4 engine delivers 187bhp and 300Nm of torque. 

The City Safety with Autobrake technology assists the driver in avoiding potential collisions and is the only system on the market to recognise pedestrians, cyclists and large animals. In a world-first for the mid-size sedan segment, City Safety now also engages autobraking to mitigate oncoming collisions.

The optional Pilot Assist system – which supports the driver with steering, acceleration and braking on well-marked roads up to 130km/h – has been upgraded with improved cornering performance. The S60 also includes Run-off Road Mitigation, Oncoming Lane Mitigation and other steering assistance systems. The optional Cross Traffic Alert with auto brake further enhances safety for people inside and outside the car.

Volvo Cars’ Sensus Connect infotainment system is fully compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G, and keeps drivers connected at all times. The intuitive control is a tablet-style touch screen interface that combines car functions, navigation, connected services and in-car entertainment apps.

The new S60 is available across all Trading Enterprises – Volvo showrooms in the UAE starting at AED 159,900 for the T4 Inscription.
